You are invited to join us for the next SLIDELUCK POTSHOW San Francisco, hosted at Left Space Studios. We'll be coming together to appreciate art and food on Saturday, July 10th, 2010.
Slideluck Potshow is a non-profit arts organization that provides an opportunity for artists and arts-appreciators to gather around food, friends, and artwork. The evening begins with a couple hours of mingling and dining on the home-cooked delights of those who attend, and then the lights are dimmed, the crowd is hushed, and another spectacular slideshow commences.

We are accepting submissions from all corners of the globe and will be putting together a diverse and dynamic show. The theme for SLPS-SF IV is SUSTAIN. SLPS is a place to share your work as artists with the community. And this time we'd like to share with the community what SUSTAIN means to you.
By definition sustain is a parameter of musical sound over time. As its name implies, it denotes the period of time during which the sound remains before it becomes inaudible, or silent. Whatsustains you as an artist - in your vision, your life, your world? Is it about sustainability and the capacity to endure or sustenance, a means of livelihood, your bread and butter? Is it the work itself - the process?
A lot of the time children mistake me for a kid! I can’t tell you how many times I hear a toddler yell out,“I want to play with dat kid mommy!” just walking out of an elevator or standing in line at the grocery store! I don’t know if its because I’m short or because I am known on occasion to make high pitch noises only children seem to like, but I am able to establish immediate trust and can connect with these little people.
I will admit that I have had a few, uh, ummm, energetic? kids, but I work hard and fast to find a connection with them so that we get the shot. Even if it’s a conversation about my stinky feet or story about ketchup and mustard taking over the universe!
I cant imagine doing anything else.It gives me the opportunity to be extremely silly, wear bright clothes, eat more pizza, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese! (OH MY!)
My goal is to be known as the person to call upon when babies, toddlers, tweens and teens need to be photographed. To be THE CHILDREN'S PHOTOGRAPHER.
Thanks for looking. I would love to hear from you!
